"On the subject of the controversial Mercedes/Pirelli tyre test, there was an interesting development on Thursday. In answer to claims that Mercedes will have got a competitive advantage from doing it, Pirelli has said that is not the case as the team did not know what tyres they were running when and were not allowed to change the set-up of the car. But Nico Rosberg was asked if he knew what tyres he was using, and he said, yes. He clarified that he what he meant was that he was told whether the test was about compound or construction. Even so, that will do little to quell the anger of the other teams."
